This policy explains how Tribes handles your personal data when you use the Tribes website and book a stay.
Who is responsible.
Tribes is operated by Artem Peregoudov (trade name "Tribes"), Bogis-Bossey, Switzerland — the data controller for the Tribes service. Contact: chief@tribes.travel.
What we collect.
To confirm a booking we collect the information you provide: first and last name, date of birth, nationality, phone, email, billing address, the age of any child travelling, and any special requests. We also collect basic usage data (e.g. pages viewed) to run and improve the service.
Why we use it, and our legal basis.
We use your data to process and confirm your booking (performance of our agreement with you), to provide support, and to operate, secure and improve Tribes (our legitimate interests). Where required, analytics and marketing cookies are used only with your consent.
Sharing with Nuitée and the accommodation provider.
When you book, we share the booking data with Nuitée Travel Limited so your booking can be confirmed; Nuitée in turn transmits it to the chosen accommodation provider. Tribes and Nuitée act as independent data controllers, each responsible for its own processing.
Payment data.
Payment is collected and processed by Nuitée Travel Limited as merchant of record. Tribes never collects, sees or stores your card details — they are provided directly to Nuitée's PCI-compliant payment infrastructure.
Retention.
We keep booking-related data only as long as needed for the booking, our legal and accounting obligations, and the handling of any dispute, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights.
Under the Swiss nFADP and, where applicable, the EU GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or objection, and data portability. To exercise these rights, email chief@tribes.travel. You may also lodge a complaint with your competent data-protection authority.
Cookies.
Essential cookies are needed for the site to work. Analytics and marketing cookies run only if you accept them in our cookie banner; you can change your choice at any time.
International transfers.
Where data is processed outside Switzerland or the EU/EEA (e.g. by Nuitée or a provider), it is done under appropriate safeguards as required by the nFADP and GDPR.
