Martinhal Sagres is clearly tailored to families: heated pools, playgrounds, beach access, kids' areas in restaurants, and a wide programme of children's activities keep little ones busy. Apartments and villas are spacious, with kitchens, laundry and available baby gear, and staff are generally helpful. However, there are recurring service hiccups — occasional poor cleaning, hot-water or maintenance issues, and missed requests for safety gear — plus limited beach accessibility for buggies, no lifeguard and extra costs or age rules for kids' club.

It is in a very scenic location with a beautiful beach but it is very windy and not much to do outside of the resort. The town of Sagres hasn’t much going on but there is a very cute village Vila do Bispo which is worth a walk around. But again not much going on, There is a Lidl there so stock up as not much outside of basics in the resort shop. The resort itself is very well done with playgrounds and pools everywhere to keep the kids entertained by day. Pools were heated and very pleasant temperature. Every restaurant has play area and the kids got very cute goodie bag on arrival. The apartment is very spacious and we had garden apartment so great for playing. Apartment had everything you needed including a washing machine. Staff were lovely and very efficient.
This resort is heaven for children. The heated outdoor pool, the beautiful beach (and the hiking trail nearby), the water sports, the outdoor playgrounds, great breakfast - big variety and everything is fresh and clean... The staff are so nice, helpful and welcoming! No place is perfect and we had some issues with the smell in the room and chicken in a tofu dish, BUT, they handled it so well and made us feel good and so welcomed. Shout out to Pedro (!) and to the entire pool bar staff... The Mercado has everything you need if you need to stock up. Sagres is 5 minutes drive away. The weather was so nice that we spent all of our time at the beach or in the pool so we didn't even try kids club, indoor pool, spa... We have to come back. The villa was very spacious and with comfortable beds. Great washing machine and dryer, very equipped kitchen and lovely welcome hamper. We also had a baby cot ready and gates for the stairs. We already want to come back! (But we will pick a closer room for next time).
