Dream Diving Vacation
In late January/early February 2026, we spent ten days at Lily Beach with our two children – our tenth visit, and once again an unforgettable experience. Lily Beach impresses with three outstanding features: its perfect location in South Ari Atoll, close to exciting dive sites; its first-class cuisine; and its exceptionally friendly staff, who always go for the extra-mile to ensure guests of all ages have an unforgettable stay.
The villas are furnished in a modern Maldivian style, are very well maintained and undergo continuous renovation. Cleanliness and safety are top priorities throughout the resort, ensured by the large staff of cleaners, gardeners and craftsmen.
The restaurants offer varied, high-quality cuisine, both in the main restaurant, Lily Maa, with breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets (featuring a variety of show cooking: fresh fish, grilled and wok dishes, a pizza & pasta station and sushi & sashimi, as well as wonderful dessert creations and a rich selection of cheeses), with à la carte lunch at Vibes (very good) or at AQUA (a slightly more refined menu), right through to dinner at Tamarind (Thai and Indian cuisine) and teppanyaki or fine dining at AQUA. The waiters seem to anticipate your every wish: Peter and Hassan at Vibes and Venus at AQUA are extremely attentive, and Suranga provides excellent wine or champagne recommendations.
The Turtles Kids Club, lovingly managed by Anjo, offers a wide range of activities on the beach, by the pool, fishing or with henna tattoos, ensuring the children have a brilliant time whilst parents know they are safe and well looked after at all times.
Particularly worth mentioning is the German-speaking Prodivers dive centre, run by a highly motivated team. It offers countless dive sites to suit all preferences and every level of experience. Svenja trained our son to become a certified Junior Open Water Diver, whilst she and Ludwig provided our daughter with unforgettable Bubblemaker experiences. Ludwig guided us parents safely to new, challenging dive sites. Alessia, Coll, Atheef and Muneer ensure exciting, varied dives with plenty of fun and safe conditions thanks to the very well-maintained rental equipment.
Conclusion: Lily Beach offers the perfect combination of location, cuisine, service, childcare and diving experiences – we’d love to come back!
