We had an amazing stay at Kandima and would happily return. We stayed in a Sunrise Pool Villa, which was the perfect choice - very spacious, private, and ideal for a relaxing getaway. The staff were fantastic throughout the resort - always friendly, helpful, and professional. If you’re planning to dive, I highly recommend Kevin at the dive centre - very experienced, calm, and clearly knows his stuff. There is so much to do on the island, which makes it great for families. The go-kart track is brilliant and run by a very professional team. The spa experience was also excellent. It’s a larger island, so you can easily stay for a week (or longer) and still have plenty to enjoy. The dolphin and turtle boat trips were fantastic, with sightings of plenty of marine life. Overall, a really great experience - we’ll definitely be back.
4th time on Maldives with family so I do compare to previous experiences. My ratings are based on that. (Veligandu, The Standard, Sun Syiam World, Kandima) Kandima is very nice maintained island with lots of things to do good for family. Hop on - Hop Off bus going acros island every 10-15min so you dont have to walk with kids all time. 10/10 Fast track - e-karts on island, that is just cool. 10/10 PlaySpace - some games, bowling and stuff. 8/10 If AI package 4nights and more you get free photoshoot with 1 print picture, the rest is for money (very expensive for photos) 5/10 Kandiland (kids club) absolut gem for kids. Ver friendly ladies, doing lots of activities with kids, not forcing them if they dont want to do some stuff, this is 15/10 :) Complimentary house reef snorcheling is nice, but not that much to see there. 8/10 Sunset side of island is great with beach, some villas have a lots of corals infront of villa which can be bad for sea access. Sunrise side is prohibited for swiming/snorchel coz of bad sea access. Just a few villas have wave breaker infront of villa which looks ugly. Seriously I am glad that we stayed on sunset villas! We vere lucky to get a nice villa with a lots of sand, some villas are not that lucky during high tide you get 1meter of sand thats it. Price of Kandima allin sunset villa with pool is great. 9/10 overall I rate 7/10 definitely nice place to stay but I would chose Sun Syiam World instead of Kandima next time.
We really enjoyed the island; it was a great value for money! Attentive staff, a gorgeous room with a sea view, a large shower, and a comfortable bed. We were also pleased with the private buses that traveled all over the island. My son and I couldn't do all the activities on offer in a week. We really enjoyed the two beach clubs; the kids prefer the pool. I was really looking for socialization, so the beach clubs were fantastic!
